Garolium Scraggart, beloved ruler of the people, has died. Despite an upbringing of real hardship she rose to the highest rank in the royal court and did what she could to make sure the poorest in Brighthelm were not forgotten. She died too young, her work half done.
A tournament has been announced to find her successor. Brave knights have travelled down royal highways. Bold paladins have knocked on royal doors. So too have bards, lords and heroes. All looking to take over Scraggart's reign and rule the realm to their desires.
And every one of them has been sent back to whence they came.
Because Garolium herself had devised the tournament. It was the last thing she did, and she decreed it would only be open to those of the most limited means. Those whose potential had been locked by the chains of ill-fortune and poverty. Brighthelm's paupers. She had spent her whole life building their ladder and nobody was going to kick it away.
Play a pauper in Garolium's tournament. Along with your bird companion, explore the wild and treacherous land of Brighthelm as you strive to learn three of the five virtues: generosity, fellowship, bravery, knowledge, and magnificence. Battle a bestiary of creatures, undertake quests, find ingredients to craft powerful recipes, and discover the sights and wonders of an exciting new world along the way. But beware! You're not the only pauper in town...
Broaden your adventures in Brighthelm with this compendium set of all 4 (now out of print) expansions.
You were desperate and you were foolish. You borrowed 50 gems from the infamous Crows gang and now they want it back, with interest, within 3 days. You're a lowly skinner at the local maggot farm, there's no way you'll earn that kind of money in time, and the Crows aren't known for their flexibility.
Fortunately, there's gems waiting for someone with the right amount of skill, ambition and luck. You could go fishing at the beach and sell your haul to the local fishermen or forage in the glade for ingredients and craft exotic brews. You could scavenge in the local dump for materials to make tools or shoplift from the market.
If you're feeling lucky the carnival has come to town. If you're feeling brave the miner's guild has no shortage of quests that need completing in the nearby pits - the choice is yours!
The fairies have gone mad. Their once quaint magic threatens all of Brighthelm, and the golems they created to protect the villages are now tearing them apart.
Now the little forest town of Shaddis Horne, with its elemental college, is under siege. The fairies know that without this source of magic, Brighthelm's chemists will be dealt a severe blow. They must be stopped.
Your Hawkguard soldiers have been sent to repel the fairies and their minions, inspire the villagers and keep Shaddis Horne standing until the siege is over. It won't be easy.
The Siege of Shaddis Horne Board Game is a co-operative resource gathering tower defence game for 1-4 players, with a smattering of push-your-luck dungeon crawling to boot. It's the second game in the Tiny Tin Tale series.
The game also includes 2 new Quests for The Crows of Coppershell Bay, and a new Bird companion for Paupers' Ladder.
Twittens is an old Sussex word to describe the little alleyways and lanes that run between houses and fields. They thread their way through towns and suburbs like veins, walled by red bricks, garden fencing and rusted chicken wire. Elsewhere they're known as ginnels, snicks and vennels.
Twittens Board Game is a tile laying game set in an everyday English suburb.
Work your way through the seasons exploring your local twittens, discovering their houses, wildlife, allotments, playgrounds, railways and electrical substations.
Complete your wanderings and get home in time for tea.
